We are located along the Panhandle of Northwest Florida surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay.
We are near diverse military installations such as the Naval Air Station (home of the Blue Angels) in Pensacola and Eglin Air Force Base (the United States largest Air Force Installation) in Fort Walton Beach.
We are surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico's emerald green waters as well as the fresh water of Escambia Bay; we sit on approximately 1032 miles at an elevation of 280 feet above sea level.
Our area was discovered by early settlers in 1925 who realized the beauty of the area's pristine white sand beaches.
It is no wonder why word quickly spread and by the 1960s tourism was born and we were no longer a secret.
